The Porirua East Groups (PEG) Cluster has been working together since 2007. Principals from 12 schools have worked together to establish a vision for a collaborative approach to improving educational outcomes for students in Porirua East. In November 2015 the PEG cluster formally registered an expression of interest in becoming a Kāhui Ako.
The Porirua East Kāhui Ako currently has 13 ECE providers and 11 schools working collaboratively to create world-class learning journeys with our 1500+ students and their whānau. Our Kāhui Ako believes in leadership as being a collective effort and we’ve worked hard at getting a co-leadership model. Leadership is the work and responsibility of all our principals and school leaders.
The Porirua East Kāhui Ako is guided by our vision to nurture “Voice, Action and Identity” with our students, whānau and school communities.
